This was also done as a school project in Lybecker, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I wanted to go for a punk vibe, because I felt that it was fitting for Sofia (Franzen) Lybecker, since she was a real rebel in her time. If you&#8217;re not familiar with her story, I strongly advise you to read about her. The Lybecker school would not exist without her. I wonder if I had ended up studying graphic design then? And what would have happened to the poor girls of 1800&#8217;s Raahe if Sofia hadn&#8217;t given them the chance for education?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:1px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-container-core-details-is-layout-0a386c5a wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\" style=\"border-style:none;border-width:0px\"><summary>Story of Sofia Franzen and the founding of the Lybecker school<\/summary>\n<p>From: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.langinkauppahuone.fi\/en\/accommodation-raahe\/?srsltid=AfmBOoqtay3b91f-iR48IiAtVFW0OY-z8jkT8F1U17hnL_dayYEHXQsC\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.langinkauppahuone.fi\/en\/accommodation-raahe\/?srsltid=AfmBOoqtay3b91f-iR48IiAtVFW0OY-z8jkT8F1U17hnL_dayYEHXQsC\">langinkauppahuone.fi, Miss Sofia&#8217;s Chamber<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sofia was born in a merchant family in 1816 and stayed unmarried till the age of 26 \u2013 not that she didn\u2019t have any suitors, quite the opposite. Sofia\u2019s problem was the inheritance left by her mother, over 3,000 silver rubles. During those times, it was the husband who always made decisions on his wife\u2019s wealth, so as long as Sofia remained unmarried, she could decide what to do with her money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sofia was an exceptional bourgeois girl. She was worried about the dangers poor girls in Raahe were under. What would happen to the uneducated girls? What does it mean for the whole society and its future if women don\u2019t have an education?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She lost her mother at the age of 10. On her mother\u2019s grave, Sofia promised to found a school for the poor girls in Raahe. Her inheritance would be changed into a trust, and the interest would be used to found the school and pay for the teachers. Sofia planned to be a teacher in the school herself too. The determined daughter developed this idea and decided to remain unmarried till she would meet a suitor who would accept her school plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a certain party, Sofia met baron Georg Henrik Lybecker and fell irreversibly in love with him at first sight. The only thing that was dampening this happiness what the fear if she could ever say \u201cno\u201d to this handsome and elegant baron if he was against the school project. To Sofia\u2019s luck, the bridegroom was happy to accept Sofia\u2019s plan and thus, they signed the founding documents of the Lybecker school on their wedding day on the 14th of February 1843. Toinen osa vuoden 2023 graafisen suunnittelun kurssin n\u00e4ytt\u00f6ty\u00f6t\u00e4. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Halusin tehd\u00e4 julisteesta punk-tyylisen, sill\u00e4 mielest\u00e4ni se sopi Sofialle todella hyvin, olihan h\u00e4n melkoinen kapinallinen aikanaan. Ilman h\u00e4nt\u00e4 Lybeckerin opistoa tuskin olisi ollenkaan. Olisikohan minustakaan tullut graafista suunnittelijaa ilman Sofiaa? Puhumattakaan siit\u00e4, mit\u00e4 1800-luvun Raahen k\u00f6yhille tyt\u00f6ille olisi tapahtunut, ellei Sofia olisi onnistunut j\u00e4rjest\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n heille mahdollisuutta koulutukseen. Opetusta on j\u00e4rjestetty jo vuodesta 1844 alkaen. Mediakeskus Lybecker kuuluu Koulutuskeskus Braheen. Se sijaitsee Raahessa, 25 000 asukkaan merellisess\u00e4 ja opiskelijamy\u00f6nteisess\u00e4 kulttuurikaupungissa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oppilaitoksen perustaja Sofia Lybecker o.s. Franzen (1816-1847) kuului varakkaaseen raahelaiseen kauppiassukuun. H\u00e4n oli kymmenvuotias, kun h\u00e4nen \u00e4itins\u00e4 kuoli. Perinn\u00f6ksi \u00e4iti j\u00e4tti tytt\u00e4relleen merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4n summan rahaa. Aikakauden s\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6sten mukaan h\u00e4nell\u00e4 ei ollut oikeutta k\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 rahojaan miten halusi, vaan naimattoman tytt\u00e4ren varojen k\u00e4yt\u00f6st\u00e4 p\u00e4\u00e4tti is\u00e4 ja avioliiton my\u00f6t\u00e4 p\u00e4\u00e4t\u00e4nt\u00e4valta naisen omaisuudesta siirtyi puolisolle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sofia tiesi jo varhain kohteen perint\u00f6rahoilleen. H\u00e4n halusi perustaa varattomille tyt\u00f6ille koulun, jossa he saisivat oppia lukemisesta, laskemisesta ja kirjoittamisesta sek\u00e4 sellaisia k\u00e4dentaitoja, joilla he voisivat ansaita elantonsa. Sofian ajatus oli rohkea ja edistyksellinen. K\u00f6yhien opettamista pidettiin h\u00e4nen aikanaan ylip\u00e4\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4n turhana ajan haaskauksena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sofian is\u00e4 suhtautui kouluhankkeeseen kielteisesti. Siksi Sofian piti l\u00f6yt\u00e4\u00e4 itselleen sulhanen, joka hyv\u00e4ksyisi h\u00e4nen toiveensa koulun perustamisesta. Rikkaan perheen tytt\u00e4rell\u00e4 riitti kosijoita, mutta ei sellaisia, jotka olisivat suostuneet Sofian asettamaan ehtoon. Lopulta Sofia tapasi tanssiaisissa Raaheen vierailulle tulleen everstiluutnantti Georg Henrik Lybeckerin, joka suostui ajatukseen koulun perustamisesta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>H\u00e4\u00e4p\u00e4iv\u00e4n\u00e4\u00e4n 14. helmikuuta 1843 Sofia Franzen ja Georg Henrik Lybecker allekirjoittivat Lybeckerin tytt\u00f6koulun lahjoitus- ja perustamisasiakirjan.
